Notes: Film has the power to bring us together, spark conversations, and fuel movements for collective liberation and that’s exactly what cinéSPEAK is all about! We’re inviting you to be part of this momentum: to gather, celebrate, learn, and dream with us, while fueling the future of community-centered cinema in Philly. On Thursday, December 4th, from 6–9 pm, we’re hosting an unforgettable evening with our beloved community at Forman Arts Initiative (2210 N. Philip Street, Philadelphia PA 19133), an ADA accessible space. You can expect an evening with a joyous and celebratory vibe: DJ, mocktails and cocktails, light bites, short films, and new merch. The dress code is happy hour cute! Over 70% of cinéSPEAK’s income goes directly into the hands of artists and cultural works; the rest supports the logistics to make it all happen. If you’re unable to join us in person, you can still support as you’re able, whether it be $5, $50, or $500. Together, we’re shifting resources into the hands of cultural workers and creating spaces where collaboration, mutual aid, and joy are the foundation of survival and thriving. cinéSPEAK is part of a growing movement reimagining how art and culture fuel social change and we want you to join us.
